The NDCA Dance Safety and Risk Management Credential is specifically designed to educate dance team coaches and professionals about dance safety with the goal of reducing risk and injury, as well as creating and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for dance athletes in the school, college, or studio setting.

The content is produced by dance medicine and dance industry professionals. It provides dance coaches and professionals with the information they need to build and maintain a safe environment for dance athletes.

The NDCA Coaching Credential is an educational initiative for dance team coaches and professionals, designed to help them create successful dance team programs in the high school, college, or studio setting. It provides dance team professionals with dance-specific information, best practices, and strategies.

We strongly recommend that dance coaches and professionals complete the Dance Safety Certificate first, then supplement their learning with Coaching Credentials.

JUDGING

This credential is good for three years.

The NDCA Judging Credential Program offers a unique place for a wide range of members to train, connect and support the role of the dance team adjudicator.

We offer three levels for the Judging Credential. These courses combine take-at-your-own-pace online coursework with culminating virtual discussion meetings to process the learning.

Credentialed judges earn a certificate of completion and their names are added to the NDCA national database which is shared with states and event producers.

Inclusion & Engagement Certificate

The NDCA Inclusion & Engagement Training Program and Certificate has been created to introduce you to the terminology and conduct surrounding diversity, inclusion, and belonging, and to increase your awareness and sensitivity to racism, sexism, homophobia, and more, as it affects your teams.

Given the amount of research and discussion surrounding each of those topics, this course should be considered as a gateway to a better understanding of issues that your athletes — and you — may have to face.

This course takes place in June and July.
